Character - Mahagony Gold is a large round lamp, handcrafted, using a combination of jet black, lustrous bronze & glittering gold mirrored mosaic pieces to give a rich and radiant effect. The design and shape gives the unique look to our personal homes.

The origin of the Catalytic Lamp goes back to 1898 when a French pharmacist created the Catalytic Combustion system to disinfect the air in hospitals. The original models were made of crystal or glass and operated with the same method of purification that is used today: Diffusion by Catalytic combustion, which means capturing and destroying the molecular that carry odours and purifying the air before perfuming it.

In the 1920's designers were commissioned to create aesthetic bottles to be offered to the private consumers. The lamps, which had previously cleansed and purified the air exclusively in the institutional setting, now came into the private home.
